he married a tigress
“Oh, I married a tigress, not a woman, not a wife, and yoked myself to a hater and a destroyer" --Jason, Medea

How does a woman become a tigress? Was she always a tigress disguised by lipstick and pearls? Or did her cage transform her from woman to beast? In the tidal wave leading up to the Me Too movement the women of WHO'S LOUIS? wanted to explore what it means to be a woman: a woman bound to her husband, invisible to her society, and dissociating from herself. In an attempt to give a voice to the women of fictional canon -- Medea, Gertrude, The Lady of Shalott, Agave, and Lady Macbeth -- we explored how their individual trauma binds them together.

He Married a Tigress was selected by the Salt Lake City Arts Council and the Redevelopment agency of Salt Lake City for the Grand Opening of the George S. and Delores Dor‌é Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah.
